Till He appeared and the soul felt it's worth.

Oh holy night, the stars are brightly shining
It is the night of our dear Savior's birth
Long lay the world in sin and error pining
Till He appeared and the soul felt it's worth

A thrill of joy, the weary world rejoices
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn
Fall on your knees, oh hear the angel's voices
Oh night divine, Oh night when Christ was born
Oh night divine, Oh night, oh night divine

Truly He taught us to love one another
His law is love and His gospel is peace
Chains shall He break for the slave is our brother
And in His name all oppression shall cease
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we
Let all within us praise his holy name

Christ is the Lord
Oh praise His name forever
His power and glory evermore proclaim
His power and glory evermore proclaim

Fall on your knees
Oh hear the angel's voices
Oh night divine, Oh night when Christ was born
Oh night divine, oh night oh night divine

Home sweet home.

Can I just say that I absolutely love being home? Especially during the Holidays! Despite the mounds of homework to be done, there's something so relaxing about being somewhere familiar. I love everything that home brings and this time it was no exception.

Sitting by the fireplace.

Sipping coffee while taking up a new hobby- knitting!

Amazing God time!

And of course, this little one! I think I'm in love.

Can I just stay home for forever??

Praise God.

Thanksgiving. Family, football, food. I’m afraid that we have lost the true meaning of Thanksgiving. It’s a time to be thankful for what we have been given. It’s a time to realize how amazingly blessed we are. It’s a time to recognize the God of the universe who saved us and gives us life every day. We should be rejoicing and praising God, not just on Thanksgiving, but everyday.

I am thankful for…

God. I am constantly becoming more aware of how much He loves me. He has blessed me in more ways than I could imagine. He has given me everything that I am thankful for. He is there in my troubles; He is there in my joy. He will never forsake me. I have done nothing to deserve this beautiful love but I thank Him so much that He found me, saved me, and loved me. Praise God.

Family. I take for granted everything they have done for me. I wouldn’t be at Point Loma without them. I wouldn’t be the person I am today without them. I am realizing the sacrifices they have made to get me to where I am and I am blown away. I am so thankful for their patience, generosity, and love.

Friends. I have the most amazing friends. I thank God for knowing exactly who I needed at exactly what time in my life. These friendships, centered around Christ, have been the most fulfilling relationships that I have experienced. I could not ask for better friends to be surrounded by. I am daily encouraged, prayed for, and loved by these men and women of God. Thank you.

Cov group. To think that last year I did NOT want to be a Facilitator at all and now it is one of the biggest blessings in my life. I cherish the fact that I get to work with a leadership team who have become some of my best friends. I enjoy going to meetings and being surrounded by these wonderful God-fearing men and women. I light up when I see them and never want to leave. To go throughout my day knowing that these people love me and pray for me is a phenomenal feeling. I love them all and am eternally grateful for this wonderful surprise of a blessing.

Point Loma. My last year at this beautiful school has made me realize how honored I am to go here. Not only is it beautiful on the outside, but the people who walk this campus are the best people I’ve known. The community offered here is like none other and my heart breaks with the thought of leaving. Even things I used to complain about I have come to love just for the mere fact that I will be leaving in less than a year. Cheers to you Point Loma, you constantly amaze me and I will miss you more than I realized.

Thank you God. You have amazed me again with how much You give me.

[Psalm 107: 1] Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.

Photographs and Memories.

Downtown San Diego. It’s a place I hold dear, yet I rarely make time to go and explore. But a while ago, my friend and I took advantage of a beautiful day and drove downtown: lunch and cameras in hand. We walked down the streets of San Diego and took in the beauty of it all while taking photos of everything around us. I realized how blessed I am to live in such a beautiful city and have such a beautiful best friend to see it with. I will cherish that day for forever because we took a break from the hustle and bustle of our lives and marveled at the beauty around us.

she is absolutely beautiful.

I am thankful for another day in San Diego. I am thankful for friendships, photos, and memories.

You make everything glorious.

This is the day, the day our God has made. Rejoice and be glad in it.

It’s such a simple thing- to be grateful for the day we are given. Yet, why don’t we do it enough? Beautiful days pass us by without recognizing how blessed we are. Without rejoicing and being glad. I am deciding to make a conscious decision to daily rejoice. To stand in awe of God’s beauty and creation. To let my life be a song of praise to God. To believe that life’s moment’s are precious and sacred. To remember every moment, because the world is unfolding around me, and if I blink, the moment will be over. To embrace life for all that it’s worth because God has chosen to give me life.

“The world is alive, blinking and clicking, winking at us slyly, inviting us to get up and dance to the music that’s been playing since the beginning of time, if you bend all the way down and put your ear to the ground to listen for it.” –Shauna Niequist

I am going to be intentional and thankful for the glory that God surrounds us with. Because He makes everything glorious.
